Misleading Emails from Company Masquerading as Alumni Association

Over the past several months, a company has been contacting Brookline High School alumni attempting to convince them to join its web site, pay "contributions" and submit personal information. Due to the confusion it continues to cause, we feel it is important to reinforce our stance on the issue.

The web sites brooklinereports.com and classreport.com

    – are NOT Brookline High School
    – are NOT Brookline High School Alumni Association, Inc.
    – are NOT a federal and state tax-exempt "not-for-profit"
    – do NOT have a license to accept CONTRIBUTIONS
    – are NOT a link of www.brooklinehighalumni.org
    – do NOT maintain a data base of  over 30,000 BHS Alums
    – and any monies sent to them are NOT tax-deductible.

Due to the fact that they may have acquired email addresses for alumni from our own web site, we have since placed all alumni emails behind password-protection. This should keep these folks and other unscrupulous email harvesters from spamming BHS alumni in the future.

Please keep us informed if you receive any other emails from this company posing as the alumni association.
